Linear is a credible choice for teams whose daily work revolves around issues, cycles, projects, and developer handoffs. Its collaborative documents and GitHub integration are part of that experience. Include the automation and context your team already gets from Linear when comparing products; documents, AI, and MCP are not exclusive to Leera.
When to evaluate Leera
Consider Leera when dedicated test cases, plans, and recorded runs need to sit beside the issues and specifications your team works on. Self-hosted operation may also matter to your decision. The useful question is whether those capabilities improve your release workflow enough to justify changing established developer integrations and habits.

For self-hosted Leera, include infrastructure, storage, email, backup and restore, upgrades, and model-provider charges. AI creation of issues, test cases, and projects requires free registration and follows the instance license allowances. An eligible paid license is required for custom branding and additional workspaces.
